Toyota Invention Partners (TIP) supports startups and established companies over the long term by combining their strengths with the assets Toyota has built up over decades. About us
Capability

Long-Term Investment Without a Fixed Horizon
Unlike traditional venture capital firms, which typically operate on ten-year fund cycles, TIP does not have a fixed investment horizon. This long-term perspective allows us to provide extended support to companies, from early-stage startups to established businesses, that share the Toyota Group Vision of “Inventing our path forward, together.”

Building Collaborative Partnerships That Leverage Toyota’s Assets
We provide our portfolio companies with access to Toyota’s broad range of assets, including its human talent, manufacturing expertise built up over many years, and established business channels. By multiplying (Kakezan - invention through multiplication) Toyota’s resources with the ideas and technologies of startups, we help accelerate upscaling and support the development of long-term collaborative partnerships.

Hands-On Co-Creation Leveraging Real-World Test Fields such as Woven City
TIP works closely with partner companies, including Inventors taking part in the Toyota Woven City, a test course for mobility, to jointly promote real-world testing and the social implementation of new value and mobility solutions.
