Unlike traditional venture capital firms, which typically operate on ten-year fund cycles, TIP does not have a fixed investment horizon. This long-term perspective allows us to provide extended support to companies, from early-stage startups to established businesses, that share the Toyota Group Vision of “Inventing our path forward, together.”

TIP works closely with partner companies, including Inventors taking part in the Toyota Woven City, a test course for mobility, to jointly promote real-world testing and the social implementation of new value and mobility solutions.

Yaqumo
Yaqumo is a neutral-atom quantum computing startup founded in April 2025, building on research conducted at Kyoto University and the Institute for Molecular Science. The neutral-atom approach is well suited to large-scale systems and is considered one of the most promising pathways toward scalable quantum computers. Yaqumo is working to overcome the technical challenges to commercialization, with the goal of bringing highly practical quantum computers to society as quickly as possible.

cosmobloom
cosmobloom, founded in 2023, is a space startup originating from the Miyazaki Laboratory at Nihon University. The company specializes in the analysis and design of flexible “gossamer structures” made from membranes and cables, and is developing technologies such as deorbit devices, membrane antennas, and solar array paddles for satellites. Building on analytical technologies used in JAXA’s IKAROS small solar power sail demonstrator, cosmobloom aims to realize large-scale space structures that can be compactly stowed during launch and deployed once in space.
