Michiko Kato has served as CEO and Representative Director of Toyota Invention Partners since April 2026. She also serves as Chief Investment Officer and Partner at Woven Capital, Toyota's growth-stage venture investment arm. In 2020, she joined TRI-AD, the predecessor of Woven by Toyota, where she played a key role in launching and building Woven Capital and has led strategic investments globally. Prior to joining Woven Capital, she worked in investment and M&A roles at Morgan Stanley, the International Finance Corporation (World Bank Group), and Unison Capital. She also served as CFO of an AI startup, leading corporate strategy and finance. She holds an MBA from Harvard Business School as a Fulbright Scholar. She enjoys staying active on weekends by playing sports with her two sons.
