Profile

Shigeyuki Urano joined Toyota Motor Corporation in 2007 after completing his master’s degree. At the Higashi‑Fuji Technical Center, he spent 13 years working on advanced development of gasoline engines and hybrid systems for automobiles. In 2020, he was seconded to Interstellar Technologies, where he served as a playing manager for rocket engine systems and contributed to the successful launches of the MOMO‑6 and MOMO‑7 sounding rockets. In 2022, he joined Woven Planet Holdings (now Woven by Toyota), where he was responsible for the entire process from planning through commissioning of renewable energy facilities in Woven City. He has served in his current role since October 2025. Outside of work, he enjoys running and trail running.
